Now I am gone
The light no longer shone
On the day I left this earth
From the day of my birth
Rita a Spaniard Seniorita born
But too poor were my clothes all torn

Poverty was my middle name
I was trying to make a living for my family to claim
I was not to blame
But suddenly lost life, such a shame

My one tru love I did get to tell
Jose was his name, played the guitar and in love I fell
But I never knew as his heart was cold
What loves true story could behold
Now I am gone and in heaven above
I look down at him with such love
And will abde with him forever in time
Until he meets me up here and in heaven he will be mine
