''A Christmas Poem''

The magic of Christmas is special to children alike
Writing their letters to Santa, about which doll they want or which bike
The build up to Christmas is even more special than the day
It's the Christmas Eve story of Santa that makes it special in
every way

As Katie and Little Richard catch the snow flakes falling from the sky
Waiting to catch a glimpse of the reindeers or Santa fly by
The twinkling stars up above on the cold Decembers night
Shine down on the frosty snowey carpet-what a beautiful sight

Mr Frosty the snowman has a big smile on his face
His wife Mrs frosty wearing a garland of lace
Soon it will be time for bed and the excitement of presents fills the air
The beautiful memories of children, sleeping without a care

Tomorrow will be a special day when family come together
It is the merriment and the cheer and laughter that sees everyone through the cold weather
This is a joyous time to celebrate a Christmas story
A time where an old year ends and a new one to start in all its glory

The Christmas House

There was an old house at the end of George Street, Manhattan
But it wasn't lived in and soon to be knocked down and flattened
It was so beautiful so I decided to take a look
That day I opened the door with the key I took

It was a Christmas story to tell
A big ol Christmas tree decorated with bells
A grand ol piano, and wooden floors all around
A big mansion all ready for Christmas but no one not even a sound.

The table was decorated with turkey, potatoes and all
Fit for a King and Queen a feast fit for a royal ball
There were candy canes and presents under the tree
But where could everyone be???

There were names on the table
Henry, George, Katie and Mable
Was this the house of Christmas past
How long has it been this way, how long will it last?

I left that old house that day
But I was speechless no words could I say
It left me with full of cheer
But I felt peoples presence very near

I turned around and looked back at that ol mansion
Couldn't help feeling this was my home
But I had no family no recollection of anything
Even my own memory is unknown....

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year
But when you have no one to share it with, it sure brings a tear.

The story of Jesus at Christmas

Jesus the blessed child born to Mary
A virgin who was tried an weary
Joseph her husband was by her side in Bethlehem that night
Where the three kings were guided by angles light.

To meet them in the stables and bear gifts to the king
A gift of mer and a beautiful gold ring
God looked down on all with the angels near
To show people Jesus will soon save men from all fear

He is the future King full of kindness and love
He will descend down on people, white as a dove

When Mary looked at her child just born
She and Joseph were so poor their clothes all torn
But now their story a rich one to tell
Like when the angel gets it's new wings by the sound of a bell

What a blessed night for all
Four angels standing guard against Bethlehem walls
To welcome Gods son into the world with cheer
No evil presence could at all be near.

This is the true storey of Christmas
Why Christians celebrate all together
If we truly seek the correct spirit on this day
Christmas will mean something special to all in every way.
