'Cara''

My Name is Cara and my story goes like this

I lay awake at night

Yea my life story ain't at all been dat bright

You see when I was young,

My life wern't at all fun,

Then I grew up and life was a struggle in itself

Trying to get by on less than nothing- not at all wealth

I stood on street corners sellin my soul to a few

But one day a hard punch hit me black n blue

I was homeless a couple of time until I got straight

Went out on Friday nights out on dates

Met sum shady guys

Yea da ones dat used me n told me all da lies

I thought der was mre to dis life you see

I could actually be somebody

So I walked into a church one day I feel down on my knees and prayed

A man walked up to me n took me by da hand

He said you may have been in hell but i'll take u to da promised land

He held her in his arms that day

To show her the light so now she couldn't stray

She yelled and screamed from all the hell she'd endured

From her previous life all the abuse she incured

My name is Cara and Ive made on my own

With the help of that man and all the love he had shown

I dn't have to look life down n feel defeated

Because now I look back on life and haven't cheated

I gave myself that second chance

N now passing on da hope to ya'll for a second glance

Life ain't gotta be dat shit rd you take,

It's da decisions n choices we all need to make

So here's my story and Cara Banks is ma name

Everymorning I now look at life n feel no shame!
